Volume discounts

Beta This feature is available on request. Contact support to enable it for your account.

Volume discounts lower the per-ticket price as buyers add more of a ticket type to their order, letting you reward larger orders without coupon codes.

How it works

You set a price for one ticket, then add lower per-ticket prices at different quantity thresholds.

For example, with "1 for €100, 2 for €90, 4 or more for €80", someone buying four tickets pays €80 each (€320).

The discounted price is worked out automatically at checkout from how many of that ticket type are in the cart.

Setting up volume discounts

  1. Edit the ticket type and set its price as normal - this is the price for one ticket
  2. Turn on "Volume discounts" under "Additional settings"
  3. Click "Add volume discount" for each quantity threshold, entering the quantity at which a new lower price starts and the per-ticket price from that quantity up
  4. Enter prices the same way as the ticket price - including tax if it includes tax
  5. A live preview shows the way the prices change
  6. Save the ticket type

Each discount must start at a higher quantity and a lower price than the one before, and every discounted price must be below the ticket price.

Example

  • 1 ticket - €100 each
  • 2-3 tickets - €90 each
  • 4 or more tickets - €80 each

A buyer adding three tickets pays €90 each (€270); adding a fourth drops every ticket to €80 (€320).

Attendee experience

Public event pages show the full price ladder beneath the ticket price - for example "1 for €100 each, 2-3 for €90 each, 4 or more for €80 each" - so buyers can see exactly how to qualify for each price. The basket summary shows the per-ticket price they're paying next to the ticket name, and the total updates automatically as they change the quantity, shown in the same tax basis (inclusive or exclusive of VAT) as the rest of your prices.
